IT'S BACK! And with the 'country' theme twist, destined to be more popular than ever.
'La Fête Champetre' is a village fête with a difference, incorporating Vendées annual HUMAN BABYFOOT TOURNAMENT. That is a giant inflatable in which two teams of 5 play the human equivalent of table soccer.
A professional football Commentator is there to oversee the proceedings, and there are trophies, medals and prizes up for grabs.
It cost 25€ to enter a team and for that you're guaranteed a minimum of three games.
Also, there's plenty of music - especially for the country fans out there. There's a live performer, Adrian Simmonds, very well known on both sides of the channel, with line dancing demos as well as lessons for beginners. Plus there'll be a disco later on and into the morning. (It's a bank holiday the next day - phew!)
AND ALL THAT'S FOR FREE!!
There are lots more games for adults and children including a bucking bronco, tin can alley, goal scoring game .......
A great, free to enter day out for everyone.
The event starts at 13H00 on May 23rd, in Puyravault, south Vendée.
It will be well signposted on all approach roads to the village
