Real problem with Real Player

Postby CRAZY DIAMOND » Sat Mar 13, 2010 11:51 am

Can somebody please help this sad, old computer illiterate person regarding Real Player? Up till yesterday everything was fine. Once I’d opened Real Player, I could click on the BBC drop down menu and listen to Radio 4, 5 or whatever, whilst pecking away and life was fine.

Yesterday when I opened up Real Player I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to Real Player SP, as they told me it’s faster, better, et cetra, so I clicked yes. Now I’ve got some fancy dandy nonsense I neither want nor understand, including Aljazeera, CNN, Deutsche Welle, Euronews, France 24, pictures of semi naked ladies, including the “silky Brazilian treat Thais D’Avilia with raw sex appeal”, but no bloody BBC.
Perleeeese, how do I get back the old Real Player, or find BBC Radio on this new, all singing, all dancing god-awful site? She who must be obeyed is suffering Woman’s Hour withdrawal symptoms and I’m missing Today and 5 Live footy commentaries.

Dear Crazy Diamond.
Yes - this is an update. The format is much the same as before.
If you click on "music" you will see all the BBC radio programmes, the same as before.
The "foreign stuff" on left hand side of the screen is also the same as before.
I hope this helps you.

By George I've got it thanks to you Epanista. For the life of me I don't understand why the spoken word of BBC should be under Music, but then I'm a grumpy old man. Smashing, many thanks. Now where's that Jenni Murray?

Syd.
