storm damage in Mache vendee

Postby sharon » Tue Mar 02, 2010 10:31 am

Again another who is woried about their property in the Vendee, I have a house in Mache, wondered if anyone out there knows if the storm reached there, its about 15mins inland from St Gilles. We were lucky to have had large trees cut down only 6 months ago.

We also have a house in Mache. We are not there at the moment but our neighbour who is French emailed to say everything seems ok.He lost a new chimney cowl but I think there is hope as the leaves are not on the trees. This is the first time I have heard from someone from Mache. Best wishes Cas

I am in Apremont, just off the Challans road. No problems.

Hi, Just registered today as I was interested in the comments about the storms and felt it would be good to be able to get in touch with others in the same situation. We have a house in Bois de Cene. Have some people keeping an eye on it, but cant get there very often yet.

First time on this site - interesting to hear there are lots of people in Mache and Apremont. We have had a house in La Gauvriere on the Apremeont/Coex road for about 18 years - again we can't get hold of our neighbours but looking at the reports we have to presume all is OK. We will be over at Easter sometime so am asking for names of any good restaurants in the area.

We drove through Coex to Apremont on Sunday and there didn't look to be any damage at all. Don't know about good restaurants as we've only been resident since the end of January.

Have been over at Mache for Easter. All was well, no storm damage. Thanks for all the feed back. Delighted to see so many of us in the area, we can exchange experiences. I have 3 teenage boys so can maybe suggest things to do in area, places to go, eat ect. :)
